So one thing about me is that I spend WAY too much time in grocery stores. Not because I go often (once a week tops), but because when I do go, I spend WAY too much time trying to remember/figure out what I need for the week or just life its self.
I don’t make lists. I know there are a million more pros than cons for creating grocery lists but still, something in my core just fundamentally disagrees with the concept of making lists. But with all that being said, I thought it would be a good idea to create a post exclusively doing that; making lists! I wanted to share some of my Top 5’s just so any followers and readers get to know me a little better.
Just a couple of notes before I get started: 1.) list are of course in order from 1-5 of my favorites and 2.) I am a big time WWE fan, and am counting that as a sport for the purpose of this post. With that being said, here are my Top 5’s:
Top 5 Favorite Sports/Leagues:
- NBA Basketball (not even close)
- WWE Wrestling
- NFL Football
- MLB Baseball
- NHL Hockey
Ask my sister (who I currently live with), all I do is go to work, then come home and turn on TNT or NBA League Pass on my computer. During the NBA Season, you can catch me watching ball on my free time.
Top 5 Favorite Sport Teams: (All Sports)
- SACRAMENTO KINGS
- Washington Redskins
- Washington Wizards
- Washington Nationals
- Washington Capitals
Honorable mention to the Baltimore Orioles. As you can tell I am pretty much a big time homer. I LOVE seeing DC sports flourish, and right now all of our franchises have struck a little magic and it’s amazing; BUT Sacramento is MY SQUAAAAD! That will make a little more sense after this next list:
Top 5 Favorite Athletes: (All Time )
- Chris Webber
- Michael Jordan
- Dwayne (The Rock) Johnson
- Brett Favre
- Ken Griffey Jr.
This is probably the easiest list I’d ever had to make. I mean these 5 guys have all been the GOATS to me. Ken Griffey Jr, is the reason why I like baseball today, and I have a pair of his shoes under my bed, right now! My first memory of the NFL was Super Bowl XXXI; New England vs. Green Bay Packers. Me being born in Rhode Island, was talking all this trash to my classmates and promising that Drew Bledsoe and Curtis Martin were going to get the ring; WRONG! That game turned me into a Brett Favre fan from then on (Congrats on the Hall of Fame this year Brett). The Rock is the most electrifying man in Sports & Entertainment, and Michael Jordan is Michael Jordan, not much to say there. Now Chris Webber, is a different story. He has been my favorite player since he played with The Washington Bullets (of course). He got traded to Sacrament to for Mitch Richmond, and as he left, so did I (figuratively speaking). Those 2000 – 2004 Sacramento Kings are still to this day the reason why I am loyal to the Purple & Black. One of the most underrated teams in league history, and in my opinion, the most underrated Power Forward in league history!
Top 5 Favorite NBA Players to Watch: (Currently)
- DeMarcus Cousins
- Kyle Lowry/DeMar DeRozan
- Marcus Smart/Boston Backcourt
- Damion Lillard
- Steph Curry/Klay Thompson
DeMarcus Cousins, self-explanatory, best big man in the league and the best player on my favorite team. The rest of the list is comprised of guards; I enjoy good guard play. Slots 2-5 are all players that just attack, and attack hard; great basketball to watch. I will also say, Marcus Smart is making his way to the top of the list, I like the way the kid plays D.
Anyway, these are just a couple simple Sport lists I wanted to put out there in the world as a little bit of a basic introduction to my fandom…. And you know what, making these lists weren’t all that bad. Maybe I’ll consider making grocery lists moving forward; SIKE!
